This course will cover the several federal statutes that prohibit employment discrimination in the workplace including: Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; American with Disabilities Act; Pregnancy Discrimination Act and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. Course coverage will include the different types of discriminatory action, the EEOC administrative process; establishing a prima facie case, pretext and the various remedies available to victims of discrimination.
